Okay, I had a busy day today, so before I run out of time here’s a drawing of the picture nearest to a convenient drawing surface.
Well, this is a mess, but hey, it’s what I drew this evening. I thought it was a pretty simple vacation picture (upper right), but turns out it was a pop quiz in perspective. Even the accordion twists and turns in several different directions. I’ll probably give this a do-over at some point.

Gesture drawing is drawing what you see, and is more about capturing motion and form than any sort of detail. Getting better at it will help me with animation, since it will require the ability to quickly summon natural-looking movements from my mind.
